As well as the Toft Advent (which I've managed to keep up to date with!) I'm trying to finish a few projects before starting a new Christmas cast on. I've finished a scarf in lovely Knitting for Olive silk yarn my husband bought me for our anniversary and am also trying to finish Toft's Junko Tabei doll! I then have The Corner of Craft's 2024 Muppet Christmas Carol advent that I want to caat on pn Christmas Day for a Sleigh All Day shawl ☺️ Wishing you and Mark a very Merry (and productive!) Christmas xx
I’m happy to say I very much enjoyed my first Toft crochet along and kept up with it each day.
Your colors from the little grey girl for the hiberknitalong are gorgeous and wish I could get my hands on a set of them for a future project maybe even a fall mkal.
It looks as though you may be joining us with a table top spinner?? Anxious to hear if my guess is correct. Also anxious to hear if your hats were a big hit on Boxing Day.
I'm not knitting this winter - but am maing little teddies out of thrifted or scrap fabric. I hadn't embroidered for years but it's coming back for their faces and on a teddy's tummy now and again. I'm about to finish one and stuff the body in order to close it up. It's very satisfying and rewarding to think of little one's being comforted by my handiwork.
Merry Christmas Martyn and Mark! I have loved making the toft advent along with you! Enjoy the time with your family! It is very hot here in Queensland so we will be in the pool and eating seafood. Probably head to the beach on Boxing Day. Not much crafting time. I have many things to finish but I am afraid that won't happen before new Year but January I will endeavour to get some things finished before starting new ones... ha ha. Have loved watching Vlogmas and all your videos this year. Happy New year to you both. Love from Richard and Melissa xx
Wishing you and Mark a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2025. I enjoy your content so much - inspiring and yet, real. Will you ever finish Mark’s Jumper 🤪 x
Thank you for the lovely Christmas wishes. Starting on January 2nd I’ll be enjoying the Berroco Mystery Blanket KAL. We’ll receive one or two 12”x12” blocks to knit each month. By the end of 2025 we’ll have a completed blanket. Can’t wait to get started on this new adventure.
As far as your Toft Advent—- by chance could that be Mother Goose you’re making? Again a very happy time with your family on Christmas and Boxing Day.
I have the Camijo Knits and the Punk Rock Unicorn Advent Calenders this year and I have no idea what to do with thema, aAt the moment i'm just enjoying opening them every day :-) I am currently working on a mohair hat and a very simple test knit using Punk Rock Unicorn Fat Moe which is a bulky mohair, so it's a quick knit. I am signed up to start the Hiberknit on Boxing Day but have just tested positive for Covid, so i'll see if I have the brain power to tackle the pattern over the next few days :-). Whising everyone a lovely, crafty Christmas with parcels of squishy yarn under the tree! P.S - i'm also confused by the bird joining Hänsel and Gretel - i'm eagerly awaiting the reveal on the 24th ;-)

Gone away for Christmas. Knitting in the warm weather in Malta. Needed a break from the gloom of the UK.
